research: My main focus within this project so far has been on the development of the numerical approach itself, that can be used to explore the steady-state transport properties of strongly correlated systems. In particular we proposed both a non-equilibrium Dynamical Mean-Field Theory as well as a Variational Cluster Approach, that can be applied to a large variety of problems. Having this method at hand, I hope that we can get insight into universal properties of strongly-correlated many-body systems out of equilibrium.
