Software

• A network backup scheduler using perl, rsync, smbmount and AFS backup to make regular and automatic backups on hard discs.
• Fritz, der Dateibaumspion is looking in some users homedirectories to silently correct settings (permissions on files and directories, mailspool, ACLs, ...) and delete junk as old netscape cache files, old core dumps,... . He also readjusts web browsers to store cache in /tmp/username. fritz warns if users stack lots of unread or uncategorized mail in ~/Mailbox or ~/mbox and marks users which have not used their account for some time. fritz also warns users using more than 95 percent of their personal disk quotas.
• afs_acl_rec applies AFS access control lists recursively from the current directory downwards.
• Scanpages automatically scans several pages on scanners equipped with an automatic document feeder (ADF) and converts to one of several formats.
• Manual Page (troff-Source) for jpeg2ps (converted from "jpeg2ps.txt" coming from original sources, version 1.5)

Computer graphics

• A very simple particle system for POV-Ray written in C++ and perl.
• A Glas for the Internet Ray Tracing Competition.
